I need to dye my hair blue?

I'm a senior and the senior color at my school is blue. For our big senior picnic, everyone makes tshirts and dresses up in all blue. I really want to dye my hair for it and want it to be a bright, electric blue, but i need to be able to wash it out in a few days. any suggestions?

I need to dye my hair blue?

You could always use temporary hair colored spray. But thats messy. If you have natural really blonde hair, it's very easy to just go to like Sally Beauty, and they have a bunch of temporary hair dye. But if your hair is brown or a little dark, you'll have to bleach your hair it first, so that It'll actually show up. But I'm sure ur not gonna want to do that! The best recomendation is to try to find a really quick drying none-messy colored hair spray, or a blue wig. unless u wanna bleach ur hair and then dye it, but it'll prob. last forever, and u prob. don't want that. SO... spray, or wig. hope this helped!!! %26lt;333

It depends if you're willing to bleach your hair (if you don't already have bleached or natural blond hair)

It needs to be really really light, not yellow, blond. Otherwise the blue dye will just look green

If you have darker hair it won't show up or will just give your hair a very faint blue tint.

Luckily, blue dye tends to fade quickly in comparison to other colors. You need a blue semi-permanent dye like Manic Panic. As you don't want it to stay in too long, stick with the classic cream formula. The Gel formula has higher pigmentation so its more intense but it lasts longer. Even less permanent is the Dye Hard styling gel, with that, the colour pretty much washes out with the gel.

The website has loads of tips for dying your hair as well as an online store.

If you decide to go for the semi permanent dye instead of the gel and it won't fade as quickly as you'd like. Use Head and Shoulders shampoo, it's a lot more effective at stripping the colour. Be careful, though, head and shoulders can be pretty harsh on sensitive scalps.

If you have to bleach you hair, once the blue has washed out (it wont come out completely, there will be some tint left over) you can either use a gentle bleach to get it back to blond, leave it to grow out or dye your hair back to your natural colour.
