Layer my hair before or after I put blue streaks???

I am going to put blue streaks in my hair, and I was wondering if I should wait until the dye comes out before I put them in, or should I get the layers and then dye it???

Dye then cut. The dye puts stress on your hair and causes some damage but by getting the layers after, you will be getting the dead, dry, brittle ends cut off, giving you some wild, healthy looking hair! hope this helps =]]

i think you should cut, and then dye. because if you get layers in your hair, your colorist will want to figure out where to put the highlights. she'll have to look at the shape of your haircut and strategically place them in spots where it would look good and noticeable.

First dye your hair then layer your hair. Trust me i'm a cosmetology.

Nope. Cut your hair first; they colour it. Adding colour and then cutting just wastes the colour. Nowadays haircolour is not as harmful and harsh as it used to be. You can have hair in great condition and still have it coloured.

I used to be a hairdresser.

get the layers and then dye it that way you can see just where the streaks will show.

Since you're going to put streaks in and you're going to get layers, it's best to get your hair cut first and then put the blue streaks in. With layered hair and select color placement, you're going to want to decide where exactly the streaks are going to go. Getting the streaks put in before getting cut can look weird since you're hair is going to end up having more than one level with different parts being shown and other parts being covered.
