Hello, you cannot lighten your hair without using bleach or stripping your hair. You can however still dye your hair blue, and it still looks blue just not really light blue. You should try natural dyes like cool aid or some kind of natural colored dye, which you can buy just about anywhere. My personal are the manic panic, they are safe to use numerous times. When your hair starts to fade just re apply its easy.

depending on your hair color there are many different temporary hair dyes that are made with henna that works very well. but again depending on your hair color,such as darker brunettes these dyes wont show up so well with out bleaching your hair but lighter blonde's they will show great. I would go to your local beauty supply store like a Sally's and ask them for there best temporary dyes. and i do not recommend dyeing your hair more than twice with a permanent hair dye,temporary dyes are usually fine to use several times with in a short period. you can get a great washout dye that lasts about a week at any store like a walmart or meijers
