A few streaks here and there I think would be cool. If you ever wear your hair up, get it done so that your hair has a blonde and blue pattern when styled up (Sorry, I know that's not at all clear! I can't word it any better).

i'd say avoid all over, largely because blues don't hold very well (compared to pinks and red at least - they've got a stronger pigment). unless you're prepared to re-colour every 1-2 weeks. blue fades very quickly, and can look a bit patchy after the first 3 or 4 washes.

i'd recommend doing the underneath. run your fingers from your temples round to the back of your head, lift that up, and dye everything underneath. it'll be bright, but the hair over the top will disguise any patchiness. streaks and chunks are worth doing, but only if someone else is doing them for you! i bleached in a chunk on the right side of my hair, but managed to get bleach on the surrounding roots, even though i was using a tint brush. no matter how strategically placed your mirrors, and how steady your hands, you need to be a mathematical and spatial genius to do streaks at the back by yourself. block dyeing is far easier!

Just make sure you treat your hair to a very good conditioner afterwards, and have some household bleach on standby - i've used various brands over the years, and if you've got a white bath suite, blue will stain it terribly, no matter how careful you are! i have found that filling the bath with water, submerging your hair to get rid of most of the dye, then rinsing out the residue under the shower requires the least cleaning afterwards!
