My friend, who is a professional hair stylist did my hair for me today. Previously, the hair at the crown of my head had been bleached to a light caramel color, with my dark brown color underneath. I wanted to change it so that the darker hair was on the top and a layer of bleached blonde was underneath that, and then at a layer closer to the nape of my neck. She did this, but when we washed the colors out, she said some of the bleach and the black dye had "bled" into each other, making blonde "roots" in some areas, and leaving me with blue or silver colored hair where there should been bleached blonde. Is there anything I can do to fix this? She said it should fade within a few washes, but .. that doesn't really make me feel very comfortable. Any input would be appreciated!
Why did the black hair dye turn blue?
Hey I am a hair dresses. This is what happened. When you want a color you always need to go a shade lighter.. If you buy black, it will come out with a blue tint. I know this from past experience. You would need to get a dark brown and hen it will come out black.. You always have to go a shade lighter to get the color you want. I hope I helped hun and good luck.

Why don楹搕 you wash it a few times and see what happens? If that doesn楹搕 work, you could always redye your hair completely black and forget the layering thing you had in mind.
Why did the black hair dye turn blue?
all hair dye is a mixture of certain colors of the color wheel. The primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. In order to make black, you need a certain amount of these colors, for instance, if you mix them all equally, you make brown. The blue took strongly to your hair, that's all. No biggie, It WILL fade. Hang tight, and rock on.

Eeeeek! Change the hairstylist. Something is eerily wrong here.
By the way, that's your hair, and if the colors run and bleed, just think of what the damage it will do to your clothes and bedsheets. Ask a reputable hairstylist for this suggestion.
