This girl I met had black hair that had a hint of blue in it. She told me that the hair color dye is called "Blue Black". Is that a real kind? If so what is the full name of it?

No, I have never heard of a particular brand called Blue Black. Many Asians have black hair with natural blue highlights. But I have used a couple of different brands several years ago in the "black hair" variety section called Blue Black, though I forgot the brand name. Just look in the hair dye section: there are other color names, too, such as "Jet Black" or "True Black" or "Blue Black." There should be various different brands available for price comparison. DO NOT use "Natural Black" though. I tried that before and it's just black with red highlights, which is the other common Asian natural hair color.

Yep it's called Blue Black by Nice n Easy or Clairol. It's called this because in the sun it gives a bluish shimmer to off set the black. It's my favorite hair color although my hair is dark brown, I dye it Blue Black to set the tone to my dark tan skin.
