I have brown hair, and I would have to bleach it for the blue to show up.

You have to bleach it up to pale yellow...( the color of a pealed bananna) If you do not the darker yellow base will blend with the blue toner, and Yellow %26amp; Blue = green!

I use manic panic flash lighting to lighten your hair. Mines dark and for blue you need a whitish tone so I then use a normal bleach blonde dye kit by loreal and then a manic panic color.

first of all by bleaching your hair and leaving it blonde will turn green, but if you bleach it until it is almost white, it won't turn green. You'll have to use a good color safe shampoo and conditioner such as bed head fashionista, awesome stuff smells like grape candy.

ok the first answerer is wrong, if you bleach your hair to a yellowish blonde and dye it over with blue dye no it won't turn green, first grade art class doesn't apply here {{although best results when lightened to almost white}}.

just bleach the hair with any bleaching powder + peroxide mix that they sell at sally's {{i use blonde brilliance}} it may take 2 sessions of 1 hour to get it blonde. then dye it over with the blue dye, {{i use Color Jamz Tripped Up Turqoise}} now if its semi permanent like mine it'll fade green or gray like you said.you'll just have to keep on dyeing it everytime it fades. {{i dye it every 2-3 days since i wash my hair often}}
